It’s spew, Simon. It will NOT produce further unhapiness to extract that spew, because absolutely nothing we do could make Universal feel less like he screwed up his entire action than already. In a utilitarian sense, it makes sense to maximise the utility of the villagers by increasing our satisfaction by getting spew.
