Okay, let’s start from meta actually.
This will be simpler explanation.

If you asked anyone about what’s my playstyle, they will say that a lot of fpsing and gambits.

That’s half true.

My playstyle is focusing on support/defensive type (using St.Petersburg university classification), rather than scumhunting.
There are easily games where I didn’t scumhunt whole game as a town.

How does it connect?
You see, I play mafia for double digit number of years by now.
And tbh… scumhunting is repetitive. It’s a lot about analysis till you have enough of it.

There is many other styles.

In my case? I like to bait scumi nto incorrect decisons and support town in making correct ones.
I don’t scumhunt most of the games.

FPSing is more visible way of making scum perform suboptimaly.
Gambits? Same, help refine reads, situation and make scum more exposed in most situations.

Why do I do it?
Causae it’s way more fullfilling when you trick scum when they are supposed to trick you.

If I have to do reads on my own I use on of defensive styles.
Aka read peolpe on how they aproach you, rather than agressively aproach them.

Like look at me “defending” Nuclear.
I’m focusing on staying away from main push and trying to point out possible problems, while also trying to convince Nuclear to finaly cooperate.

Mediate betwen them, I would say.

Me creating thread pressure to finaly do something, when thread was mostly fluffing is actually natural.
The way to discern it is exactly motivation.

As an example, take his student council voting block. He took what I thought was mostly a pretty legit block of people for student council, and declared that instead we were voting a different group of people. While some of them are cleared as town (Italy and Marshal), that combined with the rest of his candidacy makes me concerned that he intentionally chose easily manipulable people.

I actually took more active people, and pretty likely less likely to be manipulated.

That’s also what I was trying student council to do.
To lead and unite people.

After all, they are supposed to be people who are most trustworthy and thats why they were elected, right?

But that alone should change your PoV on how I approach games when in support style.
