I ended up not being mafia and actually a spy for town. It wasn’t until Luxy cleared everything up for me that I realized my mistake
Okay, so basically there’s three types of debating
In the first kind, we can all vote whoever we want for lynch. Whoever gets the most votes at the end of the day will be executed, or if someone gets more than half the day will end early (except D1)
In the second kind, someone who’s in 4+ people’s Hope lists and 4+ people’s Despair lists will be brought up for a debate. Four people will be randomly chosen for each side, they’ll argue about it and then vote.
Lastly, someone who’s one of the people in the most Despair lists will be a potential target for an Argument Armament. Any other player (except one of the people involved in the second type of lynch) can “gladiate” them, which will mean that one of the two of them gets lynched, and the other of the two of them doesn’t.

The second type of debate is most likely to happen. All that is needed is for 8 mafia members to vote for each. It’s a given that at least 1 mafia will be present on each side.
