In reality, there will be two role lists, one a “practical” role lists, used to give people their role cards and win conditions, and the other a “phantom” role list. The practical role lists consists of 20 Jesters. The phantom role list is as given in the public information, except that Neutral Evil is necessarily Jester. Each person will receive a Jester role card, but unknown to them they will also have a secret role. The actions of people’s secret roles will be determined by RNG, except for killing roles. The players will receive any feedback from actions performed on them, except such as concerns their secret role. All deaths will flip the secret role, and wills and death notes will not be in play. The game continues until only one major faction has players alive. Those players who managed to get lynched will win, those who did not will lose.

Any action which would in fact kill the person with Jester as their secret role, will be omitted. If this individual is lynched, their secret role will be swapped with another random player.

The actions of killing roles will be decided by dead assistants, who will be each assigned one of them. The dead assistants do not know who’s actions they control, nor are they informed about what their ward thinks they are.

Only a few of the town roles are easily confirmable.

This game would involve each person being a jester, but each would think (based on the role list) that he or she was the only jester. Each person would (unknown to themselves) have a role assigned that they would flip upon death. The actions of killing roles will be determined by the dead assistants, and other roles will act randomly. Thus the game will still have kills just as if the public role list were accurate, though it isn’t.
