The fact that Mode retorted with pretty much the same reasoning I came up myself when questioning Kyo on his push, might indicate that my image of Mode’s mindset in this game is correct.
And I had town!Mode in my mind so far, so that’s probably kinda villa indicative for him also (as a weird sort of mindmeld)? Not sure about how valid such a read is. I’m rolling with just everything so far.

At the very least I think Mode is more towny than Kyo in their exchange.
His level of aggression and making fun of Kyo (such as comment of Kyo going into panic mode) make me feel Mode is genuine.
