Pretty much. If you have slanking wolves in your team then they will just end up giving town info and defending them will make you look bad. This is pretty much why I distance and bus a lot.

Speaking of which, @Emilia I think you could become a really dangerous player if you were more forceful and tried to gain more of a thread presence. You had some very good townreads this game, and the read on Dat D1 was accurate.
Said by the person who proceeded to claim redirector, when redirection was my primary night ability.

This is the first time I played a full game with you after you decided to improve. You were really fun to play with.
Also I’ve noticed some really strange scumtells of mine.
- I’m really, really hypocritical as scum for some reason.
- I ping a lot of people very often.
Weird scumtells, but they were not there in my town game. I suppose this is something I should fix aside from the obvious issue - hedging.
That’s the thing that baffled me throughout the game, actually. The ‘dies to claimvig’ part. The only reason we didn’t claimvig Alice was because we could mislynch her slot, and we eventually did.
I’m… still not sure what Alice wanted to do about the claimvig.
I think that applies to everyone, at least if you don’t have much experience being scum.
Also, I’m apparently better at being scum than being town.
Probably just because it was a turbo, but who knows.

I suppose that by doing this, I rewarded replacing into a slot and doing a better job with it than the previous player.

Reading through the low posters, trying to find anyone who fit the requirements of the vig, only to realize nobody was a permitted target… it must have been a truly annoying experience.
In a game of this volume, I think I would go for something like 2% of thread volume throughout the day.

I played here like I usually do when I try, except I got caught up in the mechanics rather then focusing on reads. Lot of stuff happened this game that messed up the flow of this game
yea in the beginning and was sad af bc the only way i was gonna be able to vig someone was if they literally did nothing and luxy wouldn’t change it

The problem with the slank vig was that the slankers posted above the limit… but without much meaningful content. Therefore, in effect they were still useless, but had just enough volume to be unviggable.
There is no perfect way to define a slank vig’s restrictions, I think. That said, I wonder if it would be fair to introduce something along the lines of:
“You can vig any of the three lowest posters during the previous day.”
It would be unfair if nobody was slanking, but we all know that is never the case. Of course, it would need to be nerfed closer to LyLo.
