While I am town, and you could very well have a town check on me (unless it conflicts with sleeping peacefully), you could also just be saying that you have a town check on me just to bait a response, which here is practically null.

You’re instantly assuming that it’s a reaction test rather than a real check, which spews that you wouldn’t come up green to a check.
