i don’t think scum!bluestorm would think of a fake vig on arete of all people so i think the most likely scenarios are:
- bluestorm was occupied
- arete was healed by a scum member
if arete is night immune then they’re probably a powerful scum class but they haven’t really been playing like one. arete has been mostly on the sidelines this game and i’d imagine a powerful scum class would want to take more risks, like hammering a town member which arete has never tried to do.
which is why i think arete must’ve been healed by a scum member (or an inactive town healer lol), or bluestorm was occed and the vig didn’t go through.
now here’s the thing. both might be true - bluestorm getting occed and arete getting healed by a scum member, especially considering arete was bled and we know the bleeder is town (since dat was scum and had the ability to poison, not bleed). since no town healer is outing, that means arete was healed by scum.
we can comfortably let arete live to d4. if arete lives to d4, we pick helm’s deep and lynch them letting two consensus town get the hammer benefits. it’s going to confirm the existence of a scum healer as well because we’ve been repeatedly asking the town healer to out and not outing as healer would be a bad play as town right now.
if arete dies to bleed, that confirms scum don’t have a healer. if arete flips town, it’s still better than lynching them during the day. if arete flips scum, good for us. squid could probably occ arete to make sure they don’t pull any shenanigans if they’re scum.
that’s why i’m looking for different possibilities for today’s lynch; arete’s slot can be resolved without lynching it in my opinion.
also this whole shenanigan basically spews bluestorm as town in my opinion unless he literally attacked arete last night and is now claiming a fake vig on them. which… let’s be real, it’s not possible. no way scum attacks a bleeding player and then claims a vig on them when the attack fails. besides, scum!bluestorm wouldn’t be occupied last night because of rohan’s second effect, so the attack would go through. and even if arete was healed, a town healer would’ve outed by now.
tl;dr arete’s slot can be resolved by letting arete live to d4 and lynching them with helm’s deep or letting them die to bleed at night. if they’re town it’s better to let them die to bleed at night than lynch them during the day, besides i think arete is infinitely more likely to flip scum than town. we can spend this day looking for other scum and let arete’s slot get resolved like that.
we’re not really risking anything since we have an occupier in the form of squid and arete is 100% getting lynched tomorrow if they live through the bleed.

we converted Blue N3 and made him aware of this
he proceeded to completely forget who said NK was and tried to convert him because lolPKRflowchart
Basically what I’m saying here is that Blue’s play as scum frequently doesn’t make sense.
i’m inclined to believe attacking a bleeding player who dies next night, who probably didn’t get healed, while you are in a contentious slot and nobody truly knows your abilities because the previous owner of the slot made a huge mess… all of that is much worse than attempting to convert a NK when you weren’t the one who figured it out, just the Cult members before you
basically i’m trying to say that while bluestorm’s scum game might not be the greatest, i refuse to believe he’s totally inept even though i don’t know his scumgame unless he really is scum here

Because I thought he was scum that would try to push a mislynch agenda on me today. Even leaving him alive for one day bleeding is costly in that regard. Plus he was the only person I could choose to vig with my ability.
