Maybe he’s going for some sort of plausible deniability thing, like being able to say ‘oh, Arete was probably just healed’ later? Or he was expecting me to get healed tomorrow night, that possibility came up at the end of yesterday. I agree that it would be smarter to push anyone other than the bleeding person but pretty much none of the decisions scum have demonstrably made this game are smart.

I don’t think anyone expected you to actually be healed. It’s much easier to also say he survived the bleeding therefore a scum healer healed them, rather then do this

Datbird: Townlean. I’m liking Datbird’s solviness here, it feels pretty genuine to me, and this is more of a personal thing but I like how he’s putting in effort specifically to help Andrej and the other newbies improve their reads, which I unironically think is town AI because (a) it means the newbies have better reads and are more likely to catch scum, and (b) it makes them harder to mislynch, like, unless literally all of the newbies somehow rolled scum, which is ridiculously unlikely, I’m not seeing scum motivation there. Dat’s also one of the few people here who I’ve been on a scumteam with, and on a gut-read level he’s not really acting like he did in Short Fuse.

So in Short Fuse like half of his interactions were just awkward W/W theater with me, which Alice picked up on less than twelve hours into the thread, and I’m not seeing anyone here that he seems to be doing anything similar with. His meta is also to do things that people are likely to read as good in-depth analysis (e.g. extensive Isos) as scum, while as town he’s more likely to just say whatever’s on his mind. I think this is why I used to always read him so wrongly, because he was weirdly putting in like five times more effort as W when as town he was memeier. He also has a more confident tone here than in Short Fuse, in SF we were talking some in scum chat about how he was too nervous and that was kind of obvious in his tone there and I’m not seeing it here.

Astand: literally everything about their Iso is a trainwreck, from their random constant shading of people to their insistence that they don’t care about this game at all just because two town died. This is my strongest scumread who hasn’t claimed ~self-resolving~ yet, and they’re the one I want to push for the day. She also has strong associations with Alice, who I’m scumreading even more strongly.

Did Alice Claim desperado at this point?

I’m still not seeing nervousness there, just inactivity, which is pretty NAI for him as far as I can tell. (In this case the type of NAI where he doesn’t do it as either alignment, not sure if that’s really a thing but it’s not like he’s inactive as scum.)
