I wouldnāt be suspicious of you joking around, however the fact is you STARTED out the conversation joking with me, when you were being accused. Joking when you are being accused of being scum is a common thing scum do when they are being accused.
Also you are honorable, which is ironically what I think a day vigilante or a gladiator role would be.

Fu Leng got them contamined by Jigokuās essence and became the lord of Jigoku.
The gods who fell in Rokugan (the remaining ones) where the best mortals of their time, and united the people each according their beliefs to found the seven great clans.
They respectively founded the Lion, Scorpion, Crane, Crab, Unicorn, Phoenix and Dragon clans.
