they’re not recommended, and not allowed on the BotC server, but they should be allowed elsewhere online, including here
i’ve played with several of them IRL before.

They’re not pulling rank to stop people from using them, but many of them aren’t yet balanced properly and aren’t designed to play well together the way the characters from the released versions do, so if you do try to run a script with them, be prepared for wonky interactions that run the risk of confusing your players and detracting from the game experience overall. I’m admittedly excited to see play these characters myself (thrilled at the idea of my first Legion game), but I’d prefer the game to be something that is sure to work well, or at least to be aware that it could all be even screwier than it’s supposed to be.

i’ve already put in dozens of hours trying to clarify how some of them work as well as interactions between some of them.
Marshal and I will make a comprehensive night action order sheet (which I have yet to make) before submitting for review.

And Marshal is correct. Not all of the unreleased roles will be in play. We will pick and choose from them and make a script that has the same number of roles as one of the standard released scripts. Only difference is, the only permissible traveler will be the Gangster.
