Basically

Appel’s reads really obviously started with a specific conclusion in mind before she read it, and then she found evidence to back it up

you can tell this because when we ask her to explain anything about her thought process, she explains why the read she made could still make sense, not why she ruled out the options she’s ruled out (she did sort of explain why she ruled out me/Alice being V/W but)

also all of her reads are built on pre-flips despite the fact that she’d never interacted with either of us at this point, which is a Common Newbie Wolftell TM
