I have read a major percentage of the thread, but 3000 messages is vastly larger than you can expect anyone to read. Furthermore, to a newcomer like myself, nearly 85% of all chats seem to be incohesive and I fail to decode the majority of it.

For real though if you stick with it it starts to make sense, and the number of posts per day drops substantially as people start dying

I remember when I was a newb a looooong time ago. It gets easier. I struggle sometimes with social context and literalness so sometimes is hard for me too. Just keep going

I’m just in the car on mobile rn so I can’t make a wall so doing a few shorter posts is all I’ve got atm
I’ve had a problem all day with Math trying to lock us into one train of thought and shutting down alternative ideas as soon as they started popping up - if he had his way, chances are we’d still have 10+ votes on Marcus, who was Town, with no competing wagon.
But that alone didn’t sell me on Math being scum.
However, I think him telling Fire to cooperate finally clued me in to what I was missing
After all, he was all for getting rid of the Reporter, and has even been insisting that scum!him would make a deal with them. That’s clever.
I think it’s decently likely that Math is scum here, and wants to get rid of the reporter.
Why do I think this?
It boils down to the language he uses and his unvote.
First of all, Math seems very much like he wants to be in control of this situation, even goading Fire by telling him he agreed to lynch himself, while urging him to cooperate.
On top of this, he had actually unvoted Fire and started hinting that others should do the same, until everybody realized that letting Fire live would give the scum two extra kills and swung the momentum back towards a fire lynch.
He then got back on board so as not to appear out of place - or out of control.
I think Math is clearly prioritizing putting himself in a position of power here. Any time something has threatened that image, he has left the thread for a time or swung to go with the flow.
