we can use scraps to reinforce the car because scrap counts as a tool and we could use tools to reinforce the hopistal from hail

ok i dont think that will help you get to canada but sure.
if you use a car to get there you’ll have to use the roads, and assuming theres a gate it will be even more fortified

ok, one where will you find a rocket launcher, two where will you find rockets, and three yes cars can drive off road but not nearly as well, depending on the kind of car, and something as simple as a rocky hill might be enough to stop it
