NK overhaul

The Reaper

Icy Touch (Day) - Choose to do a number of the following actions to target player. You will consume a soul for each action chosen. Prevent target player from using day abilities for the rest of the day. Occupy target player this night. Cancel target player’s vote for the rest of the day. - Infinite uses

The Possessor

Mind Control (Day) - Cancel target player’s vote for the rest of the day. Additionally, your second target requires one less vote for execution this day. - 2 uses

The Demon

Brand of Sacrifice (Day) - Bleed target player. - 1 use

Funeral Pyre (Night) - Set your target ablaze, killing them. If Haemophilia is used, the target is immune to visits from others except you, and anyone who attempts to visit them is also killed by the flames. In addition, Funeral Pyre will bypass death immunity on the initial target and not count as a visit. - Infinite uses

The Lich

Hint it’s occupy/redirection immunity that was added.

Phylactery (Passive) - During Day One, the Lich specifies two players to be their Phylactery Holders. If they fail to do so before the end of the day, they are randomized. They cannot choose The King to be their holder, nor can The King be a randomized Holder. The Lich will know their starting classes, and will be night, bleed occupy and redirection immune while at least one of them lives. You will be informed if bled attempts are made. If both of them die, the Lich will die the following night. Investigations against the Phylactery Holders will also yield the additional message “You feel a chill surrounding the target player. They are a Phylactery Holder for The Lich.” If your Phylactery Holders die, this fact that they are one will be included with their class information.

The Sorcerer Replaces The Electromancer

The Sorcerer

Neutral Killer
Mage Armor (Passive) - You are immune to death at night. In addition you are immune to bleeding and will be informed upon being bled.
Walking Bomb (Day) - Place a bomb on target player. - Infinite uses
Bomb Swap (Day) - Move a bomb from one player to another one. - Infinite uses
Magic Missile (Night) - Fire a magic missile at a player, killing them. - Infinite uses
Detonate (Night) - Kill all players with a walking bomb active bypassing everything. - 2 uses
Your objective is to defeat the Blue Dragon, Unseen, Cult and any neutrals that dare stand in your way.

Note that bomb can target king.

The Psychopathic King (Unofficial Class)

Insanity (Passive) - You are immune to death at night. In addition you are immune to bleeding and will be informed upon being bled. You are immune to occupation and redirection. Additionally, your vote counts as two if there are more than 5 players alive. Finally, the game ends with you victorious, if you are among the last 3 players alive.

May counts as recent right.

I guess it’s the lack of NK games i’ve seen.

I think that ozz could have won as demon has cult not been gone d2(thanks to me and italy lmao)
alice could have won as sorc if it weren’t for that whole thing.

But the TOL nk’s have mechanics that can get them to endgame pretty easily

Poss can just… leave their body when scumread, and then take it home in endgame.

reaper can literally silence their opponents until endgame, and benefits from the extra vote needed with maj because of the reaped body.

sorc can propel themselves to endgame, and then are usually fucked. but still good.

and while sorc kit is the same, the environment is not

If you want to count SFoLs somehow (some are quite close to classic) I won in Necromancer’s Revenge as NK.

The first is being constraint by forum mechanics and just not possible. Flip defiling is still very strong. Silencing is a hugely antifun mechanic in a forum environment.

I get that these things don’t work. But something has to.
The Nk is, in TOL, rediculously OP sometimes, and that is fine, as the lynch is still the way to get rid of it.

They also have to be due to the mechanical solving that is possible. That is less of a concern in FoL.

IDK why TOL reaper can’t be implemented.

You could tell someone that they have died, and not show their flip.
Or just tell them that they can’t post as they are reaped.

and it gives reaper extra help, while not limiting the play of someone else(they are already dead, delaying their flip does nothing)

It can be, it’s just not a fun or healthy mechanic. It’s also insanely powerful actually. It also gives incentive for people to play reaped. (pls no in fora games) We have enough slankers as it is.
