I agree with this.

A protege shouldn’t become a Spiteful King if the Chancellor is dead as then there’d be no way to counter it.

Plus, it’d basically be a pain to find candidates for a King if a Chancellor flips.

id argue on paper its a top tier convert but i dont think its absurdly powerful

it has potential to get 1 extra kill via getting 3 marks but arbalist or assassin performs the nightkill so KPN isnt going up

timesnatcher rewind also has potential to give an extra nightkill and in FoL i don’t think people are complaining about that
