I read it as they execute the elected King which would become the starting King because that’s what we were talking about earlier.

if the starting king is executed and is evil then yadda yadda yadda

elected EKs wouldn’t have that drawback because their alignment isn’t literally impossible to determine mechanically and harder than usual to determine socially

which is why they don’t think said suggestion would make sense to elected kings

I agree behind the idea able to elect king D1 and the class cards such as evil king/devout need changed as starter groupscum.

Assassin king able to attack
Mastermind king able to convert

Etc etc.

And yes it gives them complete investigative immunity

The problem is that it would be -EV for evils to get elected in 99% of cases, so groupscum would probably need to start with 3 and NK would need additional incentive (?).

Also, not sure if it messes with Chancellor or not. Couldn’t you just openclaim?
