FoL Feedback Thread

That makes it confirmable in combination with a Mystic/Prince, so it’d have to remain omniscient with regards in scumchat.

They technically have a countermeasure in Distract.

That’s an interesting suggestion. Thanks for the feedback. I’ll take it back to see how it could be amended.

I’m interested in how making it non-omniscient was apparently never brought up?

Because that makes it confirmable, whereas we’re trying to move away from that?

I don’t understand what you’re saying here.

I mean omniscient in the sense that it if it will target a cult/unseen player it will work and it won’t work with regards to any other nightchats forms like Prince/Mystic.

Not omniscient in the sense that it just always targets cult/unseen chat regardless.

Because inconsistently, having certain day abilities be able to be used day 1 and others not, even though it isn’t stated anywhere is much better? Jail and Scout come to mind. I don’t know if this is referencing the game where you were bled D1, but I’d appreciate it if you kept salt out of this thread and keep it objective.

Where did I even sound salty :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I was literally telling the reason why Day abilities were able to be used

If you want to look at day abilities this way

The developers must of had a reason to only make some of them useable D1.

Well let’s see what the abilities have in common that aren’t able to be used D1.

Ones that can be used D1.
Scout
Jail

Ones that can’t be used D1.
Bleed/Poiosn
Double Vote
Force Vote
Reaper Chill
Butler Poison
Finger
Decide Fate
Telepathy
Other Mystic Ability
I’m sure I’m missing something here.

The only thing I can see in common compared to the other ones is the fact that the abilities mentioned above do not immediately affect the game compared to the ones on the bottom that do affect the game right away. I think that’s the main difference between which day abilities SHOULD be able to be used right away

These all coincide with not having a d1 lynch.

This is similar to the Knight/Prince restrictions to avoid gamethrowing in a turbo setup, which doesn’t apply in FoL.

You can make up some pattern and suggest it should follow suit here, but I disagree with that. The game starts day 1,so things can happen day 1.

Yea, this doesn’t sound salty at all. :upside_down_face:

I blame Solic as well

That was actually me blaming you for not having day abilities disabled and I didn’t even think about the game then when I said it

I’m proud

Actually

Solic is right, day abilities should be able to be used D1

I’m about to be real evil

Sometimes to balance a game you need to let them have what they want

See spiritualist

See but at the time we all underestimated how WIFOM it would be

WIFOM is the best

Don’t we all just LOVE whiners?

Court Spies has been reworked:

Old:

Court Spies (Day) - Disable the Unseen/Cult Chat for the coming night and day. - 1 use

New:

Court Spies (Day) - Select 2 players. Send a message saying “Noble’s Spies close in on you!” to any targeted members of the Unseen/Cult. Those targeted members will be removed from Unseen/Cult chat for the coming night and day. - 2 uses.

I completely dislike the idea of disabling a chat.

But it’s better than the last one.

Yeah i agree with waz its an improvement but im not sure why the mechanic needs to be a thing in the first place. If anything id like to see stuff to encourage more scum communication in FoL.

If you’ve a social unconfirmable impactful non class dependent alternative for old pull rank, we’re all ears. ^^.

I realize that this is also class-dependent, but it’s also the main scum faction.

There will still be scum communication here too, since it’s warned beforehand. Scum just needs to plan ahead, so maybe the added pressure would lead to more scum communication actually.
