Universal… not sure if I agree with Arete’s read, but I think he’s slightly above rand villager. I don’t know, maybe I’m just pocketed by him as I claimed earlier. My gut just says he’s >rand V.

Sulit, darth, Amelia, Arete slight V. I went full circle on Arete, but I think their re-evaluation was really V indicative. Sulit screams V to me by postcount. Darth has also posted a fair bit. I feel like a newbie wolf would feel too scared to post this much. Same argument for Amelia >rand V.
Marshal I have given up on trying to read accurately day 1. Will solve later if I’m still alive. Although I have to wonder why he wants me dead so badly. It feels really performative. He dunked on me the hardest by far, and I wonder if it means he could be a wolf or NK who wants the Merc gone because I claimed my targets were likely BD. It just feels odd. Nobody else went after me so hard. Even after I claimed, he made it a point I should die. There’s another option… but I’ll keep quiet about that for now.
Possessed I’m flip-flopping on too much to accurately read for now. I think Derps is V though because I feel like he’s in his V meta (at least, the way I remember it.).

Keep in mind that at this time, Vulgard is claiming Merc. Reads of a neutral are generally not held with the same weight.

This is not a fakeclaim. I fakeclaimed Mercenary to gather a bunch of reactions. I was wondering who would want me dead and who wouldn’t, among other things. I figured that it would be extra effective if I threw some crumbs before fakeclaiming – and also because I’ve never FPSed like this before. Unfortunately I got bled for it, which is why my frustration closer to EoD was genuine. I can refer to posts if you need me to.
That said, I also got some interesting stuff as a result. Namely, Ami was being oddly friendly with me – probably thinking I was the legitimate Mercenary and wouldn’t care. So I followed her, and look where that got me.
We have a probable wolf here, or the NK. Remember the fact there was no nightkill. I suspect that Magnus unintentionally saved Darth. Besides, I seem to recall Ami claiming a different target of her night action. Different from my investigative result
I had no idea if I should out this now, but now that I know Darth was jailed (and because I thought Ami was wolfy before), Ami’s killer equity went way up.
Side note: Derps’ check on me is legit, whether he’s V or not. I’m honestly not sure if he’s V, but he feels more like his LotR self (where he was V), so he’s off my hook right now. I denied the check because I still wanted to keep up the fakeclaim.
Anyway, Ami is probably a wolf.

Also, all of my pushes on Marshal were test pushes. I tried to figure out if he was wolf or village (and his convert equity) based on his responses. I was also wondering if wolves would jump on the lynch train. I generally liked what I saw from Marshal. I think he’s in his village meta, if the BD tell from before (when he talked about Poacher and other Unseen converts despite Paladin claims existing) was not enough.

My V reads, hopefully there’s no convert among you. I have reservations about the Chloe wagon. And no, this is not Merc protecting his target. There were no contracts to begin with. First time I tried FPSing… hopefully it wasn’t detrimental?
And now he switches from his Mercenary claim. I think he is trying to subtly openwolf here. Let’s assume that Ami is Vul’s scumpal. Two things can happen here and one scum will die regardless of what happens, while the other one gains towncred.
The more likely is that Vulgard is called out for his bluff and left out to bleed/lynched in the Vulgard-Ami thunderdome. I believe this is what Vulgard was intending to do, by claiming that Ami visited a jailed target. When Vulgard dies, Ami looks like as if she’s not Cult, as she was put in a thunderdome with the Cult Leader.
The less likely option is that Vulgard is trusted here and Ami is lynched. I don’t think this was his plan, but this isn’t too bad. Vulgard gets a heal then!

The Paladin Claims:
PoisonedSquid – I think it’s the wolfiest of the three Paladin claims and only the fact she was the last to claim speaks in her favor. Remember, though – wolves have a tendency to claim last. They almost never claim first. Additionally, I think Squid’s day 1 was quite wolfy, and her day 2 was not much better. I have a pretty good track record of reading Squid, I misread her as wolf just once and I think her play now matches her wolf behavior more than her village behavior. I fully accept that she’s not getting lynched today though (judging by the lack of willingness to hop on my Squid wagon) and will be PoEd later, which I hope is going to happen. Unless you are willing to lynch a Paladin claim today, in which case please toss her into the bin.
Jgoesgaming – Moderately wolfy, but I think this one might be real. Popping into the thread at random periods and doing his own thing the whole game – these are two things I’ve seen from village!Jgoes frequently, and it’s exactly what’s happening in this game. For that alone I’d be willing to give him a village read, except the abundance of Paladin claims is a little problematic. And yes, Jgoes’ engagement in the game was lower on day 1, but I’d say he’s been improving. I think you need to look into his motivation after I die; in my opinion, it’s quite easy to see where Jgoes is coming from, like someone said earlier with his greencheck on Universal being obvious from the start. In the end I think this is >>rand V.
Universal – Pocketed me earlier because of the purity of his posts, then he claimed Paladin in the most pure way I’ve ever seen, in response to Arete’s push. If this is the wolf out of the three (I’m not denying there may be two or even three here, but I doubt it), I will be legitimately surprised. I think he’s the most believable Paladin claim here and I’d be the most willing to follow his redcheck if he ever has one this game. Also, he was bled. Clearly, it wasn’t done by Marshal (because he bled me), and no other Hunter has claimed. Emilia wasn’t real. So? I’d wager the wolves bled him because they realized he was too villagery to be mislynched. Hard V read here.
Null zone:
Ami – Hell if I know at this point. My result on her is pretty damning, she has been uncooperative and she lied numerous times (especially from my point of view, given the information I have). At the same time, though, she doesn’t seem to feel pressured at all, which is V indicative from her. I’m not sure how she can be villa, but she still might. Honestly I just want this slot investigated so my doubts can be cleared up.
PoE:
Derps is… yes. I have no idea what he’s doing this game. He has been tunneling me for a while and claiming stuff that made no sense. First he claimed Princess with a S/I check on me, despite the fact I had claimed Mercenary day 1 and WAS ALSO BLEEDING thanks to Marshal. Who in the world checks a CLAIMED MERCENARY on NIGHT ONE when they are BLEEDING and KNOW they are bleeding? I’m confirmed not NK because I knew I was bled (I think that’s how it works, but that’s not even the most important point here), and I’m also dead night 2 if I’m a wolf because too many people have wolfread me for that not to be the case. What was Derps even thinking? And then, after I rescinded my Mercenary claim and claimed Observer (which is WITHIN HIS RESULTS), he suddenly shifts to claiming Mercenary in my stead and continuing to tunnel me. As for his earlier Princess claim, he first claimed it was real, then claimed it was a reactiontest, then claimed it was real again… then switched to Mercenary. He has been doing everything in his power to discredit me and lynch me today. Which I would say is textbook Scorned play, but I AM BLEEDING and I AM NEVER GETTING LYNCHED TODAY. So what is he doing!? I honestly have no idea. I can’t see a world where Derps is village-aligned and yet continues to play like this. Which makes me think he’s either a wolf who’s leveling, or a neutral who’s… also leveling. PoE. Kill this.
He scumreads PoisonedSquid who is another wolf, which is part of his distancing. He then nullreads Ami as well, I think this read was made to further incriminate himself to the advantage of Ami.
Also anyways this read on Derps clearly shows that Derps isn’t converted. Go figure.
Vulgard:
Arete – I’ve played with Arete plenty of times and I’m confident I found their wolftell. Tone dissonance. Their wolf tone reads as malicious and falsely friendly. (Candlelight, DRFM.) I don’t see that here from Arete at all. Furthermore, they have shown progression and they have not shown any signs of TMI. They arrive at conclusions in a natural way and their play has been pro-village. If this slot is a starting wolf, I will be dazzled by Arete’s forum mafia genius. But it’s probably just village!Arete, and if Napoleon is GK, you can always trust this slot because it’s conversion immune.
Vulgard:
I’m positive someone said that you got SFed.
Also, Amelia can still be telling the truth without me lying; she could’ve been blocked or redirected. I’m honestly not sure. Thunderdoming me there is silly from a W perspective, which is probably the best argument in Amelia’s favor.
@Arete You suggested that this was a scumslip, right? But I seriously doubt that a player like Vulgard would actually slip like this.
What if… this was an intentional “scumslip”? It’s purpose? Vulgard doesn’t know who I SF’ed, and the fact of the matter is, if I didn’t SF you, it still suggests that he might have tried converting you. That makes Ami look better, doesn’t it? He claimed to have barriered you.
