To me it seems like they are trying to lay down the seeds for a serious push D2. I get it there may be people who wanna game solve D1, but sometimes it feels like it’s too calculated or that they are making points just to make them

Eh I don’t like META reads but I also use them when things get too deep. In general I don’t discount town-core people from PoE. I am always suspicious of everyone

Yea but anyone can change their play slightly over time. I specifically may have a bit of a meta but I do try and change it every game. A lot of times it also depends on my mood and workload too since I may be inactive and conserved or active and ‘loud’. I do remember the latter nearly got me mislynches on FoL25 because everyone said I was hyper fluffposting and that was indicative of scum. It wasn’t and I hope it also serves to show that I don’t play scum nor town roles in the traditional sense all of you may seem to try and categorize

I’d genuinely call that an advantage over people like Arete and Possessed who have played with me and think they have solved a definitive meta for me. You can purely judge me off of actions and gut reads/analysis than META

In fact for ToS, I only got caught because of an analysis and not META. Had META played a part in it, it would’ve definitely skewed the result and I may have been able to live for one more day

The main thing I notice looking over his posts is that almost none of it remotely resembles a read – the closest thing is his brief push on Vulgard, where he says he doesn’t like Vul’s D1 pushing (IIRC Vul was an outed neut at this point). The rest of his posts are just discussing Mafia theory, which obviously any alignment can talk about, but it being this much of his contentful posts is weird. This is consistent with a scum mindset since many people don’t want to create associations as scum; a Vul push is also relatively safe here because lolneutclaim, meaning scum doesn’t really have to worry about spewing him.

contrast that with a BD mindset - BD mostly aren’t worried about creating associations, and thus will be more willing to actually discuss the alignments of specific players, rather than just talking about theory as Uni is doing

it fits with a thing I noticed about his scum play in ToS FM, I skimmed his Iso in Candlelight and there was a decent amount of theory stuff but more in the way of actual reads
