I believe Arete is a great wolf because they are capable of completely dissociating their perspective from scum perspective. They know what they need to do (kill villagers), but they are able to think from a V perspective. Their rolecard doesnā€™t affect that.

Now, since they have shifted priorities, their play changes accordingly, but when it comes to thought process and type of play, not much really changes. I can pick up on that, but thatā€™s because I understand them very well when it comes to playing mafia. I canā€™t blame anyone else for not understanding it. I think I would have a really hard time reading them without this benefit.
