There’s no mention about secret coding at all. But in Town of Salems FM, there are strict rules about using cryptology and codes. The only time it was used here was by in one game, but I think nothing happened. I think best to assume in all games, not just this, that secret codes and cryptology can be considered as cheating.

typically cryptology etc… is against the rules for the purposes of intentional private communication. IE the assumption that 2 people know the code or language used, and thus may be using it to talk privately in locations where the game.
