Understandable, but I’d still like to hold off on the king switch for now.
Alright, I promise to not do that anymore. Didn’t think in-game insults would have any real standing - guess I come from a different place.
Granted, I’m pretty sure the role cards there contain more profanity than this entire forum.
If either of you were offended, I do apologize, and don’t take it personally, please. Me insulting your play is not me insulting or disliking you.
I mean Orange is 1 vote from Trial. If he was lynched… would you rather lose a useful BD role or a neutral who doesnt really do much anyway.
King is not that powerful early game anyway.
Nope, although I guess you weren’t here for most of it.
You know why trying to convince me to get replaced is fruitless at best
Please do expound on my views on that outcome
I take it as a personal attack considering you tried to get me and Tardis banned too in the same post from playing together.
So, while you’re saying sorry, for now, I don’t forgive you.
I don’t think you actually mean it and you’re only saying it because it sounds good imo.
#WHAT DOES FOLLOW THE GLOBAL FORUM RULES MEAN?!
#Rule 2: “No hating or bullying. Troll away
Just don’t make it personal. Esp. no threats - even joking!”
Basically.
I’ve been trying to get you two to stop blindly following each other right now.
When asking didn’t work, I figured I’d add some spice.
No difference later, and honestly it was probably worth a shot - if it had gotten you to realize that you have no reason to trust him, we’d be much better off imo.
Is saying I’m petitioning for WotC a threat? Because that requires, well, a “crowd”.
Please don’t fight with the mods. That’ll just make it worse.
But attacking people is literally a part of this game, and at some point that needs to be acceptable in my honest opinion. I saw that most of Pete’s flat-out insults were removed, and I even disagree with that tbh - regardless of the fact that they served no in-game benefit, emotional stakes are a core part of the Mafia experience. Insults go hand-in-hand with that, and as long as we keep it chill outside of the game (which I fully plan on always continuing to do) there definitely comes a point where we can’t sugarcoat everything in FoL without losing some of what makes it Mafia.
Not that there shouldn’t be a line at all. Some things can go way overboard, and I’ve been the “victim” of that plenty of times myself. But at some point we do need to decide where that line is, and I’d argue that we’re targeting too low at the moment. Obviously, I’m not in charge, and I will abide by the rules at they’re called, but that’s just my two cents on the nature of the game.
Not fighting, merely stating that petitioning for WotC isn’t a threat because I can do nothing about it at all.
#this is an insult.
Would you prefer “headless chickens”, or is that also too far? Serious question, because I was trying to convey a point with that.
Rule 2: “No hating or bullying. Troll away
Just don’t make it personal. Esp. no threats - even joking!”
I’m just frustrated, I’ve had enough…
This is kind of a public issue. We need to know where the line is drawn, because as I said attacking people’s actions is literally part of the game.
But saying they act like spastic 5-year olds is an insult towards them, as well as their actions.
How to realize that Noz replaced Pete just now…
@Host, please use the bolded message when someone replace in.
I know he did /sign me up, but I missunderstood it o.o.
Look, I’m trying to turn the discussion away from what I said to what anybody can say.
I apologized if my words offended anybody, but I’m personally used to having way worse then that slung at me during a game and would have never imagined that that would be taken as crossing the line. Since it apparently is, I am seeking clarification so we can all avoid it in the future.
