TBF that’s the only way scum can win. If everyone made perfect choices, scum would have a 0% win rate. This game is based on human errors :wink:

Although you’re totally right about priority order…I had NO idea if fire wall came before Merc guard or what. How do we figure this stuff out? Just trial and error I guess.

I still don’t quite understand why Polik lived through the cold steel by the way. Is it different in FoL where ONLY the knight dies instead of both him and his target?

Personally I rather like the penalizing nature of the Fool.

It makes lynching the Fool more of a threat.

They throw off game balance by being a role that wants to die, so people can lurk and not contribute and get away with it because ‘might be jester’

Jester/Fools only become a problem once your BD killing roles are gone. Even then they have a chance of getting killed at night from scum…

BD is already incredibly powerful right now. You would have to nerf them in some way if you wanted to get rid of Fool. I mean, it’s anecdotal, but we hanged the Fool and still BARELY won this game, even with 3 full members.

2: Any role that punishes a correct lynch is disgusting and should not be involved with any game that even attempts to be based on player skill

Buff evils, don’t rely on bastard neutral roles to hand them a win

The last time BD faced buffed evils.

It was completely and utterly destroyed.

Or have you forgotten how thoroughly the Cult owned the BD that one time?

(Though if the Paladin hadn’t actually goofed, it might have been a different story.)
