It’s a forum game with no reprecussions, and there is literally a 0% chance of us throwing the game to let BD win here. Anybody that says otherwise quite frankly has a stick shoved up their ass and needs to re-evaluate their priorities in life. Establishing a fair precedent for a game should rank far above earning a cheap win when the game itself is the reason we all play rather than the outcome. None of you did shit to deserve us handing you a win last second, so stop whining when it doesn’t happen.
Either choice snapshot made would have resulted in the same outcome. Pretending otherwise, much less getting angry and threatening a new player for accepting the inevitable, is honestly disgusting behavior that this site does not need.
When you signed up to play a game with conversions, you willingly accepted a scenario in which your faction and win conditions might change. There’s a reason ToL doesn’t have Ranked and we don’t run episodes or count “official” wins. Conversion mechanics inherently seperate winning and losing from player skill. Borderline situations will happen, simply because that is the nature of the game you applied for. Nobody signs up knowingly for a bastard game and then complains when the moderator lies to them; why do you try that here?
In particular @PokemonKidRyan I find your behavior on this matter reprehensible. Earlier this very game you were actively encouraging the Priest to consider not reviving in case he was converted, but now you’ll threaten snapshot with a blacklist (which you have no power over) if he accepts the inevitable BD loss and lets himself get converted? The only change in circumstances is that of your likelihood to win, and yet I see you threatening a new player in their first game on the site just so you can grab another meaningless win. I cannot imagine what the aftermath of this game would be like if he had simply decided to do what was in his best interests, a concept you were previously perfectly fine with, but I’d bet my college savings that you’d have managed to put your FoL3 overreaction to shame.
You all can be great people and I love and enjoy our games together, but that’s just what they are: games. Getting salty over a nonexistent chance at a win you have already lost is not worth it, pushes away new players, and reflects badly upon you as a person. I don’t even want to know how much our playercount would have dropped if we actually banned people that talked after death in this game, and the fact that so many of you did it for such selfish reasons almost makes me sick. Snapshot deserves none of the abuse you are all jumping to give him, and neither will the next newbie who is able to understand when a faction has lost. Stop trying so hard to pull a win out of nowhere that you fail to realize that it doesn’t exist, and you’re hurting real people trying to make the impossible happen. Stop driving people away and start playing the game to have fun.

Also talking about the Snap manner and how I was “threatening” them? It’s a basic fact. Bob got banned for cheating (Breaking a rule for FoL), if Snap allowed themselves to get converted it is gamethrowing. The fact that they only lied about it makes it different, but still caused anger from me and probably others too. There’s a big difference between gamethrowing and lying about it. But both will cause annoyance understandably.

You’re missing the point.
Everything I have said about playing the game applies to snapshot just as much as all of you. Should he have RB’d Simon? Probably, as that upholds his wincon to the best of his ability without focusing on an arbitrary win.
I have seen far too many people, however, lose sight of that game-integrity mindset. Did snap RB’ing Simon change the outcome and grant BD a win? No, not even close. Hell, you even tried to kill him last night. But instead of worrying about anything else, I see people getting mad that they now see a percieved (but illusory) loss of a chance to win caused by somebody else, and decide to do everything they can to try and control that person or make them seem insignificant or threaten them if they don’t comply.
The issue has moved beyond “is this gamethrowing?”, a question for the mods and devs alone, and into a question of human decency. Can I try and convince snapshot to do something that will help to raise my chances of winning? Yes. Can you? Yes. But it’s at the point where blatant threats to a brand new player go unchecked that we have collectively lost sight of what’s important in this game.

It’s not a threat. If they gamethrew, they would likely get a blacklist. It is without a doubt not a threat but a logical truth which I stated. Unless you have otherwise evidence and think gamethrowing would be accepted without punishment?
As a concerned player, I want this game to go fair and be how it should be. If there are potential problems, I see it as my right to comment on what would happen so that it is avoided. The fact that they lied means I was harsh (although still true anyway what would happen). I’m sorry about that.
I might not be a dev or a mod. But I’m a player with a passion for FoL and I will do what I think is fair and say what is true if I’m correct

Literally Orange. I wasn’t the only person who thought that Priest shouldn’t revive Prince. Some dead people agreed before I said it. Oh wait, you can’t deny that either.
However, I also never said for Priest to just not revive BD. That really annoyed the dead. Priest never revived at all. If they had, this could’ve changed the game outcome fully. But what’s done is done.
