Godcard: Another Time [Roleplay Thread]

Shelia’s done with her first assignment… A little break wouldn’t hurt… I suppose…

She takes the book on Apollo and starts reading it. Slowly. The god of the sun… Huh. Boooring. Why did this god have song related abilities anyway? Better read on.

“Down the aisle and to the right.”

Kaden arrives back at his 15th floor apartment, and pulls out a dumbell

“Hrm… I definitely feel a bit stronger than in the library… so, the powers get stronger with continual use…”

Kaden spends the next half and hour or so watching terrible sitcoms while lifting the dumbell in his hand

“Thank you.”
Eliza goes to a computer and starts looking up well locations

unsurprisingly, there is lots and lots and lots of well in the past and present.

Some ceased to be, some renovated, some are newly built.

It will be impossible to look for the right one.

You don’t hear anything , but you hear footsteps coming and walking to the house. He sights you and walks up to you.

T: Hello!

Peter walks up to Eliza…

“Ahem… what I meant was that the well has no meaning… It’s the blessing, not the water.”

“Oh… hehe. Sorry, I don’t understand sarcasm.”

God of music? Replacement? Oh geez, this god is one tough guy. Too bad his love life didn’t go too well. Haha.

J: Toby, I have something to tell you. Come inside.
She opens the door.

Vashni heads home and prepares for the pet talent show tomorrow.

Toby enters.

J: Well, it started with a man coming into my shop. He left a parcel.

T: I see…
He puts his hand on his chin.

J: I opened it, and there were two cards. One of them was a business card, but as soon as I touched the other, which said something about Antevorta on it, a major thing occurred. I gained vision. For the first time.

Toby is silent.

T: No way…
T:…
T: Wow.

He inspects his black card again… Osiris… … If Grandma was speaking the truth…
T: Th-that’s amazing!! Can, Can you see me??!
He waves the black card in her face
T: Look! LOOK!

You see the card that Toby is holding, and a symbol of Osiris, with the roman numeral I in the corner.

T: I have one too! That means…
T: What is says on the back is true!

J: What is that? Why are you showing me these squiggles?

T: Sorry, sorry.
T: These are words!!!
T: This is what they look like when you write them.
He turns the card over eagerly.
“1.Afterlife’s Eye: Can sense the concentration of spirits in an area. Cannot interact with them.”
He touches the card, and looks around in awe.
T: Woah…

J: Do you think I will have time to learn to read before I die?

He snaps back to his senses after hearing the word “die,” instinctively looks back at his card, then looks back at his grandmother.

T: Um… how about I just make you some tea?
