Tanner walks up, and shakes Muriel’s hand.
“Tanner Skye, it’s wonderful meeting ya. So do tell, what’s up with the cards?”

She shakes his hand.
“Magic, Mr. Tanner.”
“And the power is written at the back of the cards.”
Tanner turns to Ritika, and offers the same gesture.
“So that’s what you’re here for too. Tell me, what’s your card do?”
“Erhm” She fumbles with her dress pockets to pull out her card and read the back
“It makes me dance better apparently.”
Ought to be some sort of placebo then, but how does mine work… Tanner thinks to himself. He flashes another beam of light from his hand.
“That’s what mine does. Neat! This is all so neat… but what’s the point? What’s the catch?”
“The card is free for you to use, as long as you use it. Godcards are invented for the sole purpose of reintegrating magic back into civilisation.”
“Godcards are made by Olympus Group. Even I don’t know much about them.”
“I am going to look for my god and who she is then…”
decides to dance around the library while looking and I guess she bumps into Lucifer?
Tanner sighs, and turns to Muriel.
“So what should I do next? What’s the next step? Just keep on keeping on and summon some light whenever I feel like it? Doesn’t quite make sense.”
“It does not? The ultimate objective is the revival of magic. Don’t you think letting people use magic a good step for that?”
She smiles.
“If you look at the bottom left corner of your card, you will see a roman numeral I. As you use the card’s power, this number will increase, and you will gain new power.”
Lucifer looks up from the book at her and examines her.
“So that’s the plan then. Browse a couple resources researching my deity, get good with this flashlight-in-the-hand business, maybe even start a book club here where we can all hang out and do magic tricks. Neato.”
Tanner chuckles to himself.
Lucifer puts the book down.
“You’re here about the cards too?”
“The library is a neutral ground, so please refrain from using this location as a base.”
“No need to apologize.”
He holds his card up.
“I thought there were more cards around, just didn’t think they were so common.”
“Roger that.”
Tanner returns a wide smile, and walks towards the group of Ritaka and Lucifer.
“Nothing much yet.”
He raises the temperature of his hand until a faint red glow appears.
“And yours?”
