I really disagree with how this take has formed. I thought Mercenary had quite a bad start with their ‘waiting’ attitude.
We’d apparently go back to the game, to which she hasn’t actively engaged in yet really and is not even doing that after this post.
She forms two reads, one of which is on Centuries, which I think has quite weak reasoning and the other on Surge that had been already building up to consensus.
The “pinging for discussion” is useless and comes off more pockety, because the ones that she pings were recently in thread. Especially with doing it on Surge who I at the moment see noone is scum reading.
Mercenary is personally a light townlean for me, but it’d follow way more closely towards App’s narrative of it:

because my reading style makes me want to shoot myself
what are your thoughts on derpclearing PKR for making a read on Light? I really don’t want to at this point, but I can’t tell
there is also the problem that there’s nobody over 40 posts
except surge who is absolutely hyperposting right now
i need more posts to form a base to work with
i have a very thorough reading style
as in
i will read every single post a person has made in 3 different games solely to make sure i’m spotting all the discrepancies in their gameplay and not misclearing or incorrectly wolfreading
and imagine doing that for every single person in the game
My thoughts rn are that there other posts are not great, but they’ve made so few posts it’s probably not worth evaluating substantially rn
it’s not too hard to figure out what someone thinks
unless you’re me and your thoughts are drowned out by 24/7 screaming
