I also believe both Gorta and Centuries claim. If I were Centuries I would most likely visit Surge too as he is obvious town and probably a top protective target. I still don’t know why scum go for that kill, as Surge is likely to be protect. So I think that scum have an unstoppable kill here or a very high confidence that Surge will died.
Gorta withholding his check for a while to “get reaction out of people” also seem like a townie thoughts to me.

I have no qualms with gorta’s track, but I highly doubt that any protector would’ve gone for Surge. Even if he is easy to tell, there are usually better kills other than him.
–which is also why I find it weird why Cent went to visit Surge, but I can’t even push Cent until tomorrow because he claims to be able to self-resolve tonight.
