if you don’t say geyde u get banned
Best is a subjective term comparing one thing to another.
Also I am on a lot of sites so I don’t know how to answer the question.
Am I right in remembering you mentioning you’re an Aspie or is this something I made up in my head?
That is correct I am an Aspie.
Trying to think of the best way to word this.
How would you describe your Asperger’s? Like if someone came up to you and asked you, “What is Asperger’s”, how would you personally describe it? Cause I know from firsthand experience it’s wildly different between people.
Well there’s a couple of things to establish:
- The clinical/scientific definitions of Aspergers and people with Autism
And - How I would explain it to a neurotypical with no experience of such.
And - Even if you/someone else seems to fit this to a T, this cannot and should not be used as diagnostic criteria. If you think it does, I am a huge proponent of seeking mental health services in general. If anyone needs me to talk privately about how therapy has worked for me, I am down for that.
That disclaimer out of the way onto actually answering your question.
Solid answer.

Source for the above: The scientific definition for Aspergers (recently grouped in with autism in the DSM-V) is a developmental disorder in which social skills are more difficult and emphasis on certain repetitive behaviors/enjoyments is more pronounced than the neurotypical person.
However I find this overly broad and can encompass OCD and other personality disorders. There is a lot more technical jargon involved but how I would explain it is as follows
An inability/difficulty in reading social cues from physical world in such a way that it creates demonstrable impact and certain action(s) help to mitigate the anxiety/translation issues and there are certain specialized places/things/hobbies where this doesn’t exist.
One of the main reasons I play mafia and other social games is in order to practice these cues and get out of everything is rational. Human beings just aren’t sometimes. I still fall into that a lot though.
As for me I had a therapist help teach me some social things and to try to avoid being so “goal” oriented in social interactions.
I also had them help me get over my barriers to driving (some motor skills are more difficult for some aspies but not always)
For me, as I said earlier, I have a stubbornness or rigidity that I continually work towards breaking. I have a certain “understanding” that I work towards seeing other people’s point of view.
For forum FM, standardization of terms/penalties/behavior expectations.
For example, on other sites occupy is roleblock aka RB. If inviting other people from other sites, they may just get hella confused. Many use the Mafiascum wiki
The others is expectations/behaviors
I.e. No referring to the person behind the game as inferior in body or soul or threatening any physical harm, even in heat of the moment is acceptable. Manipulation is okay. Mental harm is not.
No messaging players on discord regarding anything game specific for any reason without a game moderator present. Even a joke or something “confirmed”. Otherwise it’s an instant modkill for the offending player without explanation to the thread and if need be a replacement for the recipient.
Lots of standardization. Tldr
wait, why did we even start using occupy in the first place?
Because in ToL, RB = occupy
I think it is because classes don’t = roles so RB wouldn’t have worked.
Idk though
I mean in ToL why did they use that as a term
You’d have to ask Xblade. I dunno.
Because we wanted to be savvy and not use roleblock to be confused with TOS
I’d be willing to change most instances of it to roleblock and instances of target change to redirection.
No I disagree
OCCUPY STAYS OCCUPY
