Actually this kind of sounds like communism which I’m not trying to offend anyone here but if people weren’t selfish what would the first thing you would do in a society of unselfish people
People would be too busy trying to help each other that they won’t evwr do anything for themselves
Being compassionate doesn’t imply a lack of care for oneself.
“Concerned with only one person profit aka you”
If you don’t care about yourself at all, then you aren’t being compassionate.
It would wrap around. In being so ‘not self centered’ you end up drawing concern towards yourself.
It says others, not yourself
I show sympathy for myself lmao
Ideally, it would be more compassion, but keeping yourself in serious consideration.
Can we agree on that
When I imagine compassion I see
Oh poor person on the street
what
You do know selfishness is doing something for your own sake correct
If you wanted the world to be less self-centered, you would do that
I know.
But selfishness can extend into egocentric behavior if there is no compassion
this is a world I find scary if everyone was 100% selfless
but we are arguing about a world where everyone is selfless and compassionate
Btw I know Alice meant a little bit but I’m arguing to the extremes on this
Which is worse.
100% selfless or 100% selfish (egocentric)
last one
