My initial thoughts are: sweeeeet.
Very happy they made the Inquisitor basically unconfirmable so he cannot claim to BD and expect to survive the entire game. The Inquisitor can almost be a 2nd Neutral Killer in the game by himself.
I’ve always wondered where that splash art of the Sorcerer was going to go. Now we know.
So we have an investigative Executioner and a neutral killer who can win with Unseen or Cult.

I’m a bit confused… Why would the inquisitor want to kill a magic user at night if the sorcerer is immune to death at night?
good question I would hope that it would bypass night immunity
can the inquisitor win by killing the sorcerer after they have become king or does the inquisitor pretty much lose if the sorcerer goes king?
Good question. I would hope that the Inquisitor would be able to bypass night immunity. The card isn’t clear.
Another good question. It will probably work like a Scorned target - even if your target becomes a King you still need to get them killed.

Inquisitor bypasses night immunity.
Circle of Death isn’t usable until Night 5.
Whose original idea was this? I remember seeing something super similar to this a few months ago and thought it was interesting.
If the Inquisitor can’t be converted or killed by the Sorcerer my concern is that there will be no way to get rid of him. BD will want him around to get the Sorcerer, and the unseen/sorcerer won’t be able to kill him.
Allowing the sorcerer to bypass his night immunity is one solution, so if he claims inquisitor BD will have to keep him safe.
Allowing him to be converted would be another solution as them the BD won’t fully trust him ever and is much more likely to get executed.
The cult can empower kill Inquisitor, too.
Inquisitor definitely hurts Cult more than Unseen.
It would be fairly easy to prove after like day 4 you should definitely have at least 1 confirmed magic user
