if two good players are executed, evil also wins
some things aren’t included
so you have to kill the leviathan without killing two good players, in five days
I can’t wait for a Pit-Hag to spawn because with the Wildcards existing they can turn people into literally anything :^)
In the event Pit-Hag spawns, they’d only have the choice to select the type of wildcard.
It’s up to the Storyteller which role the wildcard changes into.
Fair enough
Otherwise we’d have Pit Hags pulling the gamer move of turning people into Lunatics
now we just need Politician and the game is complete :^)
game was actually going to be about politics with the social theme until I changed it
answer to this (regardless of circumstance) is basically always: storyteller, but they can choose to do it randomly if they wish
depends.
demons are able to kill themselves
in a tie, good wins by default. evil does not win. this is why, in a group of 3, if good executes the demon, good wins. because the number of players was reduced to 2, which would normally make evil win, but since good also wins (as they killed the demon), good wins the tie
that being said
/out
yall havent yet, but please do not ping me in this thread
@KyoDaz below includes all clocktower characters that are currently known and are not a part of Trouble Brewing, Bad Moon Rising, or Sects and Violets (or the officially released traveler and fabled characters):
Please keep in mind that so far, only Amnesiac, Leviathan, Cannibal, Fisherman, Politician, Goblin, General, Acrobat, Widow, Lil’ Monsta, Balloonist, Bounty Hunter, Cult Leader, and Preacher have been officially revealed and given official token artwork:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/mvg2wma3gc19ee8/revealed-unreleased.character-tokens.pdf?dl=0
, and TPI (the devs of clocktower) don’t really like ppl using any of the others before they are officially revealed.
there are also lots of homebrew characters and scripts made by members of the clocktower discord server.
I dont like this particularly
it forces evils to play a certain way
(also its unbluffable)
the text in the kickstarter stretch goals page is extremely vague and outdated, so please look at my PDF for the most accurate information @KyoDaz.
kamikaze was also renamed to boomdandy, for cultural reasons.
im not a fan of GoS tbh
the knight and noble are alright but the rest are too many ways to win without the regular wincon
alot of the non-politicans look good from the unreleased-but-revealed category though
if not a little strong(bounty, balloon)
ok ima stay in this thread somewhat to clear up things. but this isnt a script i’d join still
of course its unbluffable.
how could it not be, thats literally the nature of such a role
for this game nearly every role is bluffable
and I like that
and its part of why I dont like the nature of said role.
I kinda love the look of this game ngl.
I just re-worded several of these roles with the help of an expert from the Clocktower discord, whose username was tstaffor. I was just on a voice call with him for half an hour.
Current state of things:
Townsfolk:
Lady: Your vote for execution silently counts as two.
Lawyer: Executed good players might night die.
Leech: Each night, choose a dead player. You learn who they have targeted so far during the game.
Lovefool: Each night, you may choose a player. If you die, they might also die.
Matchmaker: Each night, target two players that are neighbors. Learn if they are the same alignment.
Newspaper Hawker: Each night, obtain a piece of feedback a player has received.
Optician: Each night, choose a player; learn if they’ve ever malfunctioned or been mad this game.
Prophet: Once per game, during the day, ask the Storyteller if a list of roles are present in the grimoire.
Psychic: Once per game, during the day, publicly make a statement that a player is a minion. The Storyteller announces the result.
Queen: You start with all good players knowing your identity & role. If you die, evils win.
Rattlewatch: Each night, choose a player; learn if an evil player has chosen them this game.
Snitch: Each night, choose a player. Learn the total amount of whisper messages they’ve sent.
Townsfolk Wildcard: This may be any Townsfolk from Trouble Brewing, Sects & Violets or Bad Moon Rising.
Outsiders:
Loudmouth: If you die during the day, choose a player; tonight, all evil players learn their role.
Psychopath: As long as you alive, a player will be “mad” that they are evil. A player that registers as evil might be chosen, are immune and informed of being the Psychopath’s target instead.
Squire: Each night, choose a player; they might register as evil until dusk. You might register as evil.
Outsider Wildcard: This may be any Outsider from Trouble Brewing, Sects & Violets or Bad Moon Rising.
Minions:
Copycat: You start the game with the ability of a Townsfolk or Outsider.
Paralyzer: Once per game, during the day, lock all votes for execution or pardon.
Sycophant: Each night, choose a player; they might register as good until dusk. You might register as good.
Minion Wildcard: This may be any Minion from Trouble Brewing, Sects & Violets or Bad Moon Rising.
Demons:
Arch’ian: Each night*
, choose a player; they die. Each night*
, receive a message from every whisper channel.
Quack: Each night*
, choose a player; they die. You may send as many messages directly through the storyteller as you would like at any time, with each message targeting every member of a specific alignment or role type of your choice (good, evil, townsfolk, outsider, minion, or demon).
Wither: Each night*
, choose a player; they die. Chosen players’ neighbors are poisoned until dusk.
Demon Wildcard: This may be any Demon from Trouble Brewing, Sects & Violets or Bad Moon Rising.
thoughts: queen is bad
unbluffable and too easy to kill (demon will find them, and kill them eventually).
way more like an outsider
perhaps make it like mole? has to publicly guess while they are alive instead of having to kill them
thoughts: wildcards are bad, tstaffor wants to bring that up with kyo later.
thoughts: loudmouth effect maybe should be active all the time?
thoughts for psychopath:
thoughts: sycophant is op as they can just target the demon every night
thoughts: maybe copycat should be out-of-play townsfolk or outsider, instead of just any townsfolk or outsider?
Arch’ian thoughts:
thought: drunk / poison is actually different from malfunctioning and they cannot be used interchangably. I dont understand the difference currently, but tstaffor will explain it later. He brought up mathematician when mentioning this. It had to be changed to poison for Wither.
thought: just FYI, your Lawyer role is identical to the official Pacifist role from BMR @KyoDaz. Registering as good is mechanically identical to actually being good.
