Wizard:
You have this list of 30 spells.
Pick 12 spells in this list for you to know.
Now prepare 4 spells you know for you to be able to cast for the day.
Cleric/druid:
You have this list of 20 spells.
You know all 20 spells.
Now prepare 4 spells you know for you to be able to cast for the day.
Sorcerer/bard:
You have this list of 30 spells.
Now pick 3 spells for you to know.
All spells you know are prepared.
Bard works like Sorc, not like Wizard
Wait, seriously?
I have played my bard wrong lol
Yep, AFAIK Wizard is the only one that works like they do
And like, bard know more spells than sorcerer
Sorcerer’s advantage however is that they can modify the few spells they know. They can cast it faster, more stealthly, further, more prolonged or double.
yeah i meant i know all the spells but i have to prepare them in order to use it in the day so like if one player prepares it then the other can use that preparation slot for something else
Don’t prepare detect magic. It is a ritual spell.
what it is?
Warlock: You know 2 spells total ( 15 at level 20)
and you can cast them a total of one (4 at level 17) times
And they always go out at the highest spell level you know
also just use ur cantrips they are op
Would blade ward of true strike be better than dancing lights? Maybe mage hand?
You still need to prepare the ritual spell to cast it as a ritual. Wizard is the only class that doesn’t
Blade Ward and True Strike are objectively the worst cantrips in the game
Mage hand is, on the other hand, a very useful cantrip
This is the type of problem you get when you are a wizard main.
ive heard minor illusion is very good too? should i pick it or mage hand
