Depends entirely on circumstance and state of mind
I have not been perscribed with schizophrenia nor am I delusional.

Due to the brain’s tendency to ‘understand’ everything it encounters, my brain may assume that it saw something it in fact did not see. This will likely only happen if I cannot comprehend it with any shred of prior knowledge attained through the former years of my life.

In the case of a bioweapon with these exact properties, I would probably hallucinate and act entirely irrationally without prior knowledge of the effects of the bioweapon

You don’t know you’re hallucinating though, not neccessarily.
For example, this is a scene in the game.
You’re playing as Fliss, and you’ve got a knife. A robed figure with a rod steps towards you, ready to fight.
What do you do?
