Investigative Reworks:

Maid (Blue Dragon Investigative)

Day Ability: Service: Determine if your target has royal blood. 2 uses.

Night Ability: Escort: Determine a player’s class type. 2 uses.

Night Ability: Matchmake: Determine if 2 players are compatible. Unlimited uses.

  • People with Royal Blood are not compatible
  • Fool and King are not compatible with anyone
  • Mercenary is compatible with their target
  • Other than that, they’re compatible if they are of the same faction.

Mistress (Unseen Investigative)

Day Ability: Service: Determine if your target has royal blood. 2 uses.

Night Ability: Escort: Determine a player’s class type. 2 uses.

Night Ability: Gossip: Determine the faction of two players. Unlimited uses.

Seeker (Cult Investigative)

Day ability: Expose - You are told the next player to use a day ability besides King. 2 uses.

Night ability 1: Identify - Learn the targets faction and class type. 3 uses.

Night ability 2: Gaze - Learn who the target visits and who visits them. 2 uses.

Observer’s peek is strong enough - we don’t need a second one. Plus, peeks are why we got rid of the King’s Allies.

So the Maid would use this during the day? I’d use it on 5 and immediately get a result?

I like this idea a lot, but hard to see how it would be user-friendly outside of Forum of Lies. There’s not a whole lot of time in-game to figure these kinds of things out, no matter how much it fits in a game of social deduction. So I’m conflicted here. I would rather have this than Peek/Escort because it’s definitely useful in the right hands.

This seems incredibly strong.

This is as good as a peek. You see “5 has used a day ability” right before a TB and you instantly know who is Fool/Scorned.

Window Peek is a faction check, Escort is identical to Bat Eyelashes

It’s a faction check on scum. If it wasn’t powerful it would be useless.

And going off on what Nuclear said, for Scum it’s either BD or Neut, so not really as powerful as it would be for BD, because all Unseen/Cult are known.

This isn’t a peek. It does not return a faction. It returns:

Killer
Offensive
Social
Support
Special
Investigative

Like the seekers current Gaze on live but with only 1 use. (N1-3 on MM it would return Investigative)

Also, could Seeker pull off a maid claim?

Seeker could probably pull it off.

Most people are Blue Dragon, so just guess compatible. If you do some more investigation with Identify, that can also help you.

Also compatibility mainly relies on each persons faction, so it only will find Royals.

What do people think of an Investigative class getting Exhume as a day ability?

I’ll probably make a separate thread for Neutrals at some point.
