Please no! I strongly oppose this change. Defile is one of my favorite abilities and it’s extremely fun and powerful. I just won a game because we defiled a Fool as Mastermind. Defiling someone as Possessor in Reaper/Sorc games is fun too.
If Herbalist must get Abscission please make it a day ability so we don’t lose Defile. Like really Defile is one of my top 3 favorite abilities in the whole game.
Unfortunately for the one time defile is useful in the other 1000 games it’s a trap ability that serves no purpose other than letting everyone know a physician is converted.
I like defile, if you don’t know how to use an ability correctly, it shouldn’t be removed just because noobs can’t use it.
I would agree, but unseen is already super weak and having ability that you can actually use that doesn’t instantly out you would be nice. I never bother using their abilities it’s just never really worth it.
But if you use defile well, it doesn’t out you as converted Physician.
I usually use it to flip people as assassin so BD get complacent and think Unseen only has two members.

I think that was one of the planned ideas from way back in 1.1.0 that didn’t end up ever being a thing, and I’m 99% sure that thread is unlisted, so the question is how did you end up both seeing the thread and mistake it for a new update?

Because both the unseen and cult are in good places with almost 50% winrate for both
