and since they never died, they can never kill themselves
A babysitter is just hiding their target in a box, but keeps the box on their person. The protection doesn’t apply when the babysitter dies because the babysitter drops the box, killing the baby. Normally the babysitter wouldn’t fit into the box, so they can’t self target, but the box hits the mirror/redirection, bounces off, and clomps around the babysitter like a pokeball.
The mafia are too stupid to look in the box or shoot the box.
They go to shoot the babysitter, but because the babysitter is in the box, they go home for the night instead.
