For stuff like that, you dont usually get to ask why

For JROTC, i assume it’s because the army grades each school’s program based on student performance, of which uniform inspections are a major part.

is everyone gonna just let this slide orrrr

My school didn’t even have a dress code really. It technically had one but no one was held to it

Trekking sandals with socks, sure. Mostly in spring and autumn. When it’s simply not warm enough for bare feet

Just google “do wear germans sandals with socks”
Answer is yes. We do

that’s pretty normal, even at schools that don’t have a particularly strict dress code

As someone who goes to church with sandals…
What’s the reasoning behind this? Extreme prudity?

Yes to all but like Holden is just GM

also you’re a heathen for not mentioning Up N Go

Is that a NSW thing?

Oh.
I don’t drink that.

It’s a lifesaver when you hit hour 72

Usually in the U.S., people always dress pretty formally for Church and Synagogue services.
Don’t need a suit coat, but always dress pants / dress shoes / black or navy socks / dress shirt, sometimes a tie and/or vest, females can do dresses / female dress shoes instead if they want.

I don’t really know the reasoning behind this.

ftr sandals seem to be fine in churches provided they’re nice sandals?

I’d still expect nice shorts and a nice shirt tho

Has stuck around because dress clothes are significantly less expensive nowadays and because it seems respectful

I wear very functional standard male brown or black trekking sandals
So yea, not trying to provocate with them, they are just functionally great in hot weather
In buildings often with socks, outside without if possible

I take it back that’s gross

sandals with socks is such a dad move lel

It also really depends on the church. I usually just go in a decent polo or button down and some nice shorts or khakis and that’s pretty par for the course where I’m from. Some people do dress pants/dress shoes, but it’s common not to.
