I mean, I was able to live as student with 700€/month which I got from the state pretty good
Student Loans should be really good in the UK.
I’m not surprised it’s the same in Germany.
That’s a really weird sentence that I worded incorrectly
There is no university that charges less than $10k in tuition per semester in this entire country
Most charge 15-25
Some get up to 35 at max
Again, stuff is much more expensive here than most of the rest of the world.
In any area that’s relatively urban or suburban, it’s impossible to find a place to live that’s under $2k rent per month. In NYC, under $5k per month is impossible; in LA / San Fran, under $8k per month is impossible
Over here I’d simply say, if you work fulltime, even in a low paid job, you won’t have problems to pay rent and feed your kids, and have okaish life standards
And if you don’t get enough, the state pays the rest
Things are just different here
That’s what pure capitalism does tbh
This is not the case for at least half the country here, even for those that work 2-3 full-time jobs at the same time
the three richest citizens of the U.S. control more wealth than the bottom 64% of the population.
I don’t have a fursuit
How is that even possible? I worked 40h per week and was pretty exhausted by that, I plan to only work 20-30 hours in future
Many people here work 60-90 hours a week and still live in poverty all the time.
Maximum which is allowed over here is 6 days per week á 8 hours, or 5 days á 10 hours
There’s no maximum here
Unless you are extremely good at one of these rare skills:
There is no way to live above the poverty line without a bachelor’s degree
There is a maximum here
But both school (at least the 13y system here; the 9y system is pretty easy) and university are pretty hard
I’m not less intelligent like my parents, who both studied, but I lacked the necessary self-organization to be successful at university
Yeah, i know
The upside is, where you live, you still can be not perpetually doomed without that
Here that isn’t the case
I’m carrying a children for over half a hour and my shoulders hurt
Apparently the child slept so carrying is no more yay
