Good cats.

M15 was epic lul

Still regretting a bit to have mercilessly lynched Possessed after he replaced in, for the scumminess of his previous slot
But reevaluationg people after replacement gives an unfair advantage to that slot, so it’s better not to

Instant reaction tests are dumb ways of doing this and shouldn’t be allowed
But sometimes, this happening subconsciously is inevitable, if the person who just entered the slot has a more obvious meta and/or more WiM than the person who just left it.

That’s why I’m a fan of the new replacements policy; hopefully that will help to minimize this problem over time.

It’s not (solely) about reaction testing
It’s about discouraging strategic replacements
People often replace out when they get heavily scumread, and the replacer manages to be way more towny

“Y has replaced in, do not discuss”
“Y, what are your night actions – also you’re L-1 and poisoned so what are you lol!”

This is true and unfortunate

And blatant strategic replacements as well blatant irl emergencies (like your fracture), the two opposite ends of the spectrum, are usually easy to determine.

However, much of the spectrum is related to atrocious WiM and/or exhaustion that can make the game hard to bear to keep playing, that is often some sort of mixture of IRL problems and in-game problems. It can be tricky to determine how much of that is due to IRL problems and how much of it is due to in-game problems (Also, lying in this regard can be easy). That’s why I support the new replacements policy.

just like intent in gamethrowing here, intent in replacing out is remarkably hard to prove.

Having a bad time irl -> your tone is atrocious and you get scumread for it -> you give up and let someone replace you -> that person is able to be blatant town -> Win/win situation. You don’t get the stress you cant bear in your irl situation, and also you have a pretty good chance to win

how bad is not bad enough?
If being in the game longer will cause you to get expelled, get fired, or become suicidal, it’s a bad idea.
I agree with the current new policy that consistency across the board is the best policy
I would also be okay if any replacements gave a blacklist instead of 2+ in a two-month period (but in that case, you probs would be blacklisted unless they were to accept medical documentation as proof of your fracture)

point is, intent is hellishly hard to prove, and i dont think there’s any way to solve the matter more fairly than the current new policy

I’d argue this is pretty good proof

id also get blacklisted since I replaced out twice in a pretty short period of time because of irl events ayaya

I do believe that replacement stuff here was way too lax for a very long time
But I also think that the modkilling of slots due to replacings needs to be avoided at any cost, and that the current new policy accomplishes that aim the best.

Point is probably that you probably should avoid playing FM when not mentally healthy, cuz it has a very high chance that it will worsen your condition :eyes:

Yeah, I learned this the hard way, which is why I took a long break and did animal crossing instead for like 6 weeks.

This is a good reminder that I probably should not play anymore until I get on therapy and develop a plan for my future, hopefully a job too sometime.

I feel better than I did a month or two ago, but it is correct that it could get really bad again, and FM would probably worsen my mental health. So ty priestess

Blacklisting people for having bad mental health makes kinda no sense
But there’s a point reached where you should accept that you arent healthy enough to in
And I know myself that it is extremely hard to accept this
