it’s easier for a single wolf, or a couple of decent wolves, to carry a single wolfteam than for a single villager to do the same for the village, such that games (particularly on this site) are often decided by ‘did the wolves rand any of the players that are good at scum’

mashes increase the number of wolves and therefore increase the odds of getting a couple of competent wolves

this is why wolves usually win mashes on this site
