All I have to do is start fakeclaiming neuts every game and you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference
I still don’t know why Marshal wasn’t killed the moment he switched his claim twice and failed to do anything significant to be honest.
But hey, I townleaned him later so I’m no better than others :^)
Although to be fair he was my traitor candidate so I never considered him to be “100% town”.
I guess I was half-right in the end.
he claimed BM into a literal fucking IC as the only healer
and got converted for it
Who in their mind converts an IC claim.
Apparently Kyo does.
This is basically one of the reasons why this forum just sucks at playing town. A lot of people don’t try to read into the motivations behind odd plays and just scumread anything out of the ordinary.
I have ever seen people on this forum correctly identify villagery FPSes as such but yeah, we’re not great at it
anything which is not the american style of playing is automatically scum here
like not guarding the claimed marshal
okay but like, is loudly announcing that you will be guarding the claimed Marshal, and then stabbing them instead, a play that makes sense as a wolf
then again
i pushed that hard as i was wolf
Like, just ask these questions when evaluating FPSes.
A) What is the user trying to do?
B) Does it make sense from what perspective?
C) Would a wolf do it as wolves are usually more cautious in their play?
D) Would a villager do it?
E) What are the results from it?
to be fair it doesn’t help that an awful lot of FPSes people do here as villagers don’t really make sense from a village motivation either
it makes no sense as either alignment
For those I don’t bother accounting them in my read. If it’s nonsensical from both perspectives, it should be considered NAI.
loudly announcing you’ll guard one player and then guarding another (because you expect to dissuade the wolves from attacking the first target) is totally a play that makes sense as a villager
I was more focused on his Marshal FPS as that was strongly village-AI but also I was a neut so I didn’t really care except as much as my first bite target was a villageread of mine
Yes. You get what you wanted: the Marshal is dead.
If you die as well, doesnt matter necessarily
my job was to get villagers lynched so i wasn’t planning on sweating the details
you could also just … not randomly hardclaim a protective on D1 and loudly declare that you’ll be protecting the person you’re planning to nightkill
But it makes perfect sense, if you reallly want the player dead. It makes sure he will be unprotected, and you get a safe kill
