Depending on local laws (or possibly less-local laws, e-commerce is complicated) it’s possible that it being sent to a collections agency will result in you owing significantly more
some states have laws designed to prevent this but I’m not sure if Illinois is one of them
I don’t think it would necessarily be a percentage but I’m not positive

this was basically done using the same gimmick that got me a negative balance on venmo
reload from my bank account when i have nothing left in my bank account and then my bank rejects and reverses the transaction a few days later after I already spent the money that was “reloaded”
now im just chugging along paying $35 a month to repay my discover bill over the next 2 1/2 years
it’s 8:30 and i’m still awake
the decisions i made to bring me to this point are questionable
other than that i’m okay i guess
