mechanical pieces of luck can come in other forms than abilities
as orange said, that misclear really was the nail in the coffin
that’s … not the difference between social and mechanical play
if someone says ‘I hardclaim Mafia, never retracting’ in their first post, maintains that claim all game, gets lynched, and flips Mafia, that doesn’t mean that mechanics was what outed them
i vehemently disagree, as usual.
Thought it was cuz he couldnt read our slot
also that example is an invalid comparison
i was the only slot who even ever mentioned any intention to consider jk’ing composite ever.
in what world is ‘lynching someone based on their social behavior’ mechanics???
hardclaiming Mafia as Mafia is not a mechanic
failure to read the game properly by scum when a blatant slip was easily findable in there is mechanical luck for town
reading the game is not a mechanic
yes it’s not a mechanic, but I still consider it mechanical, unearned luck.
Not social in any way
I would say that it’s an example of suboptimal social play by the Mafia, as opposed to good social play by the town
but that doesn’t make it not social
ur right perhaps it was bad word choice to use “mechanical”
but town absolutely won the game more due to luck than their own effectiveness in social reads.
Ritual Mafia 4 was lost for town because we didn’t rely on mechanics enough, in that no one re-read katze’s posts and noticed that her progression didn’t really make sense
:^)
that’s just what i was trying to say
ur also too pocketable by hyperposting friends
like i said, i was pretty sure scum had won the game at the rand lol
i maintain that my progression on you could have been explained if it was called out, but it never was
memeing about being jk is what jk kat would do
and you memed about it a lot
i mean you’re right
if we were i woulda memed it a lot
but probably slightly differently?
I called it out
and then you were like ‘yes because I’m having a hard time reading you’ and I was like ‘legit’
rather than ‘you just called me town and now you want to lynch me in semi-MyLo’
