I am just curious
when you play modded for so long vanilla does get boring but there’s some charm in vanilla given a fairly simple farm there is quite a bit more effort than most modded ones
plus i get to hang out with people i like so thats the main appeal
although the nether update is genuinely beautiful
but modded is great and i should probably learn how to use more magic mods cause i hate them all

I literally just don’t get a ton of fun from vanilla
I mean, I’d have to start a new world.
And I feel kinda hollow after beating the vanilla.
Also did I tell you that my world is covered in literal printer lines because lolcrimson/hallow spread.

to be fair the cookie thread is anything goes, i just think extended discussion should go into the appropriate thread if other people don’t want to see it here – but everybody here seems to not mind so i don’t think it’s a big deal
with that said i like organization at a broad level so the terraria/minecraft threads are nice
Terraria?
Never heard of it. Sounds like a game where you are put 2D sandbox with your helpful little guide friend and are set out into an adventure against the dangerous deep dank POORPLE or the bloody RED where you must either fight a big bron or a worm to progress and unlock your next ores where you soon reach the dungeons of where I man has been cursed by some skeleton and you defeat him for meh loot and arrive into hell where you must defeat FLEESH in order to activate hardcore mode which give something something MAGICAL LANDS and the jungle becomes really scary now and you fite some planty thing and up fighting some Golem lel and that one dungeon you defeated is now surrounded by cultists or something and something something moon, something something oh crap MOON GOD and once you do that and you have to defeat the final boss, Disney rainbow Princess…
Nah I’m probably just wrong tho, all of what I just said sounds too crazy
i have played terraria
i did not enjoy it
too much single player for my tastes and movement was a bit difficult sometimes when you wanted to get up (maybe i just wasn’t used to it) but i like how in minecraft you can simply just block up lol
i do see the appeal in the game tho
earlygame movement is difficult (although you can still block up like in MC) but as you progress your movement options get more and more fluid/free
once you get a grappling hook the movement opens up quite a bit
but yeah earlygame terraria has always been my least favorite part
