i didn’t want to overuse it
in hindsight this was a controversial move
i didn’t want to overuse it
in hindsight this was a controversial move
I know it sounds bad
But sacrifices are necessary in order to ensure a reasonably playable game
It’s not necessary to spam it
Just get a macro view of the rolls and the consider roughly how weighted towards one side it is
i place some blame on the last second “oh fuck we have to reroll because paradoxes”
we didn’t exactly have a ton of time to discuss the balance of the reroll, whereas the prior roll was done around the time we opened signups
although even that roll has obvious problems
Noble and Butler visit Demon. Demon is outed as occupy immune by both Butler and Noble.
Demon gets lynched D2.
If it’s not too far leaning to one side 60-40 is not good, but playable, it can be run
Standard Deviation™
Like think about a scale
One side is town
Other side is scum
Who gives a crap about nk so we’ll ignore them
The above post is a hypothetical worst case scenario for Neutral Killer and any resemblances to any real game is coincidental.
Being occ immune isn’t damning in the setup
Being scummy is
It is if you claim a class that isn’t occupy immune.
ironically the situation that damned italy was probably easier to escape in the randomizer setup
he coulda just claimed an occ immune knight
and nobody can really say no
in FoL he’d had to claim a naturally occ immune class
Why is NK even in game at this point, if every FoL/SFoL makes NK wins almost impossible.
the occ immunity was only an issue because he was Gossipped + Occupied, which was a direct result of being scummy
NK is a cardboard cutout of a great concept
Looks great, but doesn’t even get close to the ideal
because ToL has it
Because variety™
It’s very difficult to read for and is frustrating when it’s good
But people like it because…
I don’t know
new FoL balance changes:
Several NKs have been removed, and two new ones have been added
NK spawnrates are now 50 percent The Lying Darkness/50 percent Claudia
FoL is no longer ToL but I’m probably not qualified to give any opinions on this matter anyway.
