The reporter’s eyes waver away from the group for an instant, before he looks back to ask his questions. He looks quite nervous.
~
“So… since this all began, the public has quite… concerned, scared – as some of the first people to make deals with these… legends, what do you know about their intentions?”
~
The man glances away from the group once more before his gaze returns.
(past)
pauses to think about it before running to the bar
currently at the bar
Perhaps Francis has a point. But I would probably be dead if i wasn’t cautious enough. Didn’t i just prove that i do take necessary risks sometimes by saving him though?
is deep in thought while waiting for water to arrive
Since the question is to those who made pacts with legends, she closes her eyes and looks away.
Francis pauses. Then he shakes his head.
“I cannot speak for all Legends. For all I know, some of them are planning for a world wide destruction!” He raises his voice.
“Why would these powerful beings reveal themselves to humans once again? Why would the gods and goddesses and creatures of fictions release their influence of the planet? The answer is simple!”
He pauses.
“The world is in ruin and tatter! Humans are scattered in their own self created factions for their own benefit! Beauty can no longer be a simple beauty. Politic! Economy! Everything must be influenced by this greater power! Even technology, advancement of human life, must be controlled by these stupid factions!”
He calms down. When he continues, he speaks softly.
“This is Hephaetus intention. To purely advance humanity. To reveal the potential behind humane creativity without being hindered by nation’s agenda. Tell me, without his help and grace, could science progress without being invented for one side’s benefit?”
Gavan comes back with a pitcher of water and 3 glasses
“Hey who’s this dude? and what are you guys talking about” he asks while he pours water in the glasses
Taking notes on how their gods think. On how it will affect global economy. What will rise and what will fall.
Also, her poker face is absolute.
“Worldwide destruction? The progress of science, advancing humanity…”
~
The reporter writes something book in a notebook, before turning to Laura and Gavan.
~
“As for you two? Do you all know the intentions of these Legends… what they want with us?”
“I do not know. That’s what I’m here to find out.”
“worldwide destruction? what? as for the legacies? we want whatever motivates us. Power, fortune, revenge, equality. . . Fate” looks at Francis when he says this
"people are motivated by a lot of things… you can’t lump all the legacies in one category you know. that’s just plain rude. and yes, i am a legacy myself.
as for the legends, they just want more power. they want to be known so they have people spread word about them, giving us power in return. it’s surprisingly simple really."
takes a drink of water
“Last quick word of advice Mr. Rpeorter, be careful. You are treading in dangerous waters right now. There are many evil people out there who won’t hesitate to kill you in this field of work. If your truly want more answers however, you should become one and see for yourself”
turns to Laura
“You aren’t a legacy yet? Well, you should become a follower of Hecate, like me! I can’t force you to choose, but I think Hecate would suit your style. You probably would prefer to wait though, so that’s understandable. I’m still a stranger after all.”
in general
“Anyway, do you guys know what the main event is? Is there supposed to be someone qualified to talk about this?”
“How would that help me?”
She asks in response to Gavan’s offer.
“Hah! If you want money, join me! Exclusive intellectual right for new creations! Monopoly over new technology! Tell me if that’s not a gold mine.”
“If you use your powers and learn to control them wisely(or not), it very well could”
shoves the money I made from being in a gang and assassinations further into my pockets
“So Francis, what kind of things do you make? Weapons? Crafts? Machines?”
She looks at you blankly. It’s hard to say what she’s feeling right now. But her eyes are staring into yours.
“Well, legends do the choosing. Powers and all, we’re only human.”
She proceeds to whip out her phone and enters a message in.
Oh. She got blue ticked. I think that’s a slight annoyance you see in her eyes.
“Not necessarily. Er, when I was in a tough situation…”
you hear Gavan mumble something about personal problems
“I asked the Gods for help and… Well… Hecate answered. And I’m really grateful for that, I could’ve ended up dead or worse. And the powers are quite nice as well, but you can choose any Legend you want, if you want.”
slight pause
“Personally, I think you have to seek out the Legends. Oh, how did you receive your power Francis?”
“Cursed paperwork! I can’t sell anything without them! Fate, why must you torture me with this boredom? No. Fate is not cruel without a reason.”
He falls silent.
“Agh! Curse you bureaucracy! Curse you french people who invented the word! Why must such a beautiful word like bureau be associated with evil that is paper?! Curse you France! In retaliation, I will not distribute my convenient bread maker in France!”
He looks pleased with himself.
Hears the words “bread maker.”
Hmm? Something interesting?
“Tell me more of that.” Laura states, as of a matter-of-fact tone. Well, even as her face says nothing… her voice sounded like she was… interested.
I don’t think taking your anger out on France will change bureaucracy, but he won’t listen -_-
“Hey guys, watch my body pls”
creates a scout and closes eyes
There. I can see traces of magic and deception much easier with this. Now where did that cultists go to… Can’t have him making more trouble
(Whamm this is the moment for you to reveal the event or something lol. Also I’m assuming the reporter left already)
Francis shakes his head.
“No! Fate is a cruel master. I cannot speak freely until I have finished the dreaded paperwork! Also…”
He glances at the reporter and Gavan.
“Privacy! There is a reason I do not have a phone!”
