You all see an old , pudgy man enter the building, the president , who slowly hobbles over to the opposite end of the room and takes the microphone.
You all hear his voice boom:
P: Ahem. Ahem. Greetings. 'Tis an honour, as being the first to receive these superhuman abilities, and as your country’s leader, to be able to answer any questions, thoughts, or confusions because of this new age in the human race. So please , ask away , all who have been invited, because I feel it is essential that we are all on the same page. I’m sure many of you do not remember exactly how you gained your powers, besides the fact that you found them in a dream , but it seems that I am one of the few individuals who maintained memory of it. As I’ve said before, ask away.
After observing for long enough, Alexander finishes his glass of scotch and asks:
Alexander: “How will we keep ourselves safe? Why are we allowing this…?”
P: Good question.
P: With new power of legendary status slowly being spread to the masses , it may fall into wrong or inexperienced hands. Research is already underway into figuring out how exactly these legendary powers work. And until then we politely ask you to refrain from using any powers you gain.
P: As for why we allow this… Some people do not wish to abide by our country’s ideals. Upon being given the option to gain power , they may use it for evil. To allow this would give citizens, and us, a fighting chance against potential new threats. So which is why I say again, to refrain from using any new powers you may have gained to make sure that this new age of mankind becomes too big of a task for us to handle.
Rito still disguised as a random civilian steps up to ask a question that he always had in mind
“Can anyone force someone to become a follower?”
Fedorov nods and smiles
“My funds will always be available for research, all you need is ask… comrade”
He walks away and starts observing the room once more
P: While we are not exactly clear, certain legends have been known in their “source stories” to use force or pressure to make someone join their side. This may be reflected in followers of that certain legend. However at this point , we believe that all changing of legends must be of a person’s own will, however they can be pressured to do so.
As Rito walks away from the meeting, his form shifts back to normal. He sees an old man wondering around nearby. His elegance makes Rito see him as a perfect follower. Rito decides to speak to him through his mind
(“I see you’re having a great time here.”)
Alexander seems confused
(“Privet, may I know who this is…?”)
(“Let’s just say that I’m a friend that can help you achieve greater power. I see you haven’t selected a legend to follow, is that correct?”)
(“No, I have not. I have no need for one, friend.”)
(“Everyone deserves a chance to become a god and you’re the perfect candidate to receive such an achievement. I can help you your wildest dreams come true.”)
Rito snaps his fingers to send an illusion of the man’s biggest dream hoping to change his mind.
Alexander looks, but sees nothing
(“Ah, I am truly interested. Meet me at the balcony, we can talk face to face… like men.”)
He starts walking towards the balcony
“Coward! Hiding the blessing you have received in the name of safety? What kind of treachery is it? Are you brainwashed by the apple of Eris?! Has the Epos of Pandora dulled your mind? An uncut jade is in no way a tool!”
Rito walks towards the balcony to show his true form. He has no reason to appear as someone else.
