Legends of Merathia (A D&D campaign)[Chapter Six: Manhunt]

“Eating someone might be good…”

“Sorry, did you just say eating someone?”

eating someone?

looks Val up and down

“I really do hope I misheard you.”

well you did. I only needed some food and well I am pretty poor. and by poor I am totally broke

“Alas! Maybe it’s just bad luck! One event after another happens, and overwhelm my voice!”

She sighs.

“If only there is an event here. Nothing big! Even a wooden crate and an announcer will be enough. If only I have someone to set up a better performance, I’m sure I can succeed!”

James scratches his chin a bit

“Hmm… I don’t have much money myself, but I suppose I could buy you some bread, at least.”

(Also, turns out I got Nysia and Val mixed up there, sorry.)

I’m sure that could be arranged

I hold my arm out for a shake Names Val

“Really?”
she sounds hopeful.

Shakes Val’s hand

“I’m James Ty- just James. Shall we go get some food? I could use a bite to eat, myself.”

sounds good but we gotta wait for our friend in the mayors office

James looks at Val quizzically

“How does someone who can’t afford food have a friend on speaking terms with the mayor?”

she shugs lucky day?

James shrugs, and looks somewhat disbelieving

“Very well, then. So, uh… your more quiet companion. What’s your name?”

James sticks out his hand

Grimm follows Siegfried into the Alley.

(not gonna listen to Val and stay put?)

(no, he’s dumb and doesn’t like to be cheated out of payment for a job)
